Top 5 Travel and Local Apps on Android in Peru, Q2 2021

During the second quarter of 2021, the top travel and local applications on the Android platform in Peru demonstrated diverse performance patterns in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a closer look at the trends for the top 5 apps: SKY Airline, Google Earth, LATAM Airlines, WiFi Magic+ VPN, and Airbnb.

SKY Airline observed a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting from 2.2K in late March and peaking at 8.5K by the third week of June. Weekly active users also showed a positive trend, growing from 12.1K at the end of March to 19.1K by the end of June.

Google Earth had a relatively stable performance in downloads, with minor fluctuations. Downloads ranged from 3.2K to 6.3K, peaking at the end of June. Active users saw a gradual increase from 42.9K at the end of March to 48K by the end of June.

LATAM Airlines showed a decline in weekly downloads, starting at 4K in late March and dropping to approximately 2.7K by the end of June. Active users also decreased, from 24.7K at the end of March to around 20.9K by the end of June.

WiFi Magic+ VPN experienced a notable spike in downloads in mid-April, reaching 4.9K. However, by the end of June, downloads had decreased to under 1K. Active users followed a similar trend, peaking at 6.8K in April and dropping to 2.4K by the end of June.

Airbnb maintained a steady download rate with minor fluctuations, ranging from 1.7K to 3.5K. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 25K at the end of March and increasing to 27.5K by the end of June.
